What is Concrete? How Does it Work?

Concrete refers to any number of naturally occurring substances including clay, sand, silt, clay minerals, limestone, bituminous coal, phytessence witherite, sandstone, volcanic ash, carbonate, and so on. As mentioned above, it is a mixture of these materials held together by chemical reactions. Concrete is one of the most common building materials in the world because of its wide variety of applications and durability, as well as economic viability.

Concrete is mixed using different forms of materials. The main one is cement, which combines with water to form a solid mass.
